Different Types Of Affiliate Programs & Marketing Opportunities - Choose The One That Is The Best For You
Here, we are going to discuss the different types of affiliate programs and marketing opportunities that are available today. When you are a novice, it is very difficult to decide which program to go in for. This article can help you make the decision more easily.
There are mainly two kinds of affiliate programs:-
1. Pay Per Click or PPC.
2. Pay Per Performance or PPP.
Pay Per Click
The popularity of this type is on the rise; essentially because you can make easy money from it. The merchant puts up either text or banner advertisements for the affiliate on his website. When the customer clicks on the banner, the affiliate is paid about $.05 per click or whatever percentage the merchant and affiliate have agreed on. The more the clicks, the more money the affiliate makes. So an affiliate program works even if the customer does not purchase something from the product owner, all he has to do is click on the advertisement for the affiliate to rake in the moolah.
Pay Per Performance
This affiliate program is the most money-spinning of all the affiliate programs. The merchant pays the affiliate if the affiliates customer makes a purchase (pay per sale) or signs up for something that the merchant may be offering (pay per lead). The merchants love this program, and most finance and insurance companies have such programs, besides the information technology companies as well. Handsome commissions are paid- ranging from 15% to 50% of the sale value.
Tier Affiliate Marketing
Tier affiliate marketing means when an affiliate gets paid for making a referral besides also being paid commissions on the sales that he makes or the leads that he passes on to the merchant. Single tier affiliate marketing means when payments are made to the affiliate, when he refers his customers, for a lead or direct sale to the merchant. Two tier affiliate marketing means that he can make referrals for the company and when the customers sign up for a referral, he gets a certain commission out of the sales that are finally made. In three tier marketing, the affiliate gets a percentage commission out of his referrals referrals as well.
Residual Income Affiliate Marketing
Many people think this is the ideal program to take up because it offers regular monthly checks. Heres how. If the affiliate signs up referrals to the program, even if they do not earn any income for the company, as long as they continue as members, he gets paid on a monthly basis.
So now that you know the different kinds of affiliate programs and marketing opportunities, you are in a better position to decide which one is suitable and will earn you the most money.
